Apache (xampp) and IIS conflicts/incompatibility?

Oct 11, 2011 12:45 PMValerie73LINK

I've got both WebMatrix and xampp installed on my computer. Pakistani drama list 2021.

308 Permanent Redirect - XAMPP. XAMPP is a free package that includes an easy-to-setup web server (Apache), database server (MySQL), and a server-side scripting language (PHP). More about XAMPP. This guide uses Windows 10 64-bit and XAMPP v7.3.5.

I have problems working with both and the problems are surely connected as it looks like there are some kinds of conflicts between those. Therefore I am describing both below.

In WebMatrix, when I try to create a website using 'Site from Web Gallery' and select WordPress, I get the following error message

Microsoft Web Application Gallery
The source is invalid.
Cannot connect to the database '.
Cannot connect to the database '.
Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

This WWW Publishing service is used by Internet Information Services (IIS) and comes pre-installed. To run XAMPP you must stop the service from running on your machine. To stop the service running, follow the steps given below.

When I open xampp, start Apache and then click on the button Admin, it opens up internet explorer on http://localhost/ which displays IIs7 instead. Similarly, when I start MySql in xampp and click on the button Admin, it opens up http://localhost/phpmyadmin/ with error 404 and the values indicated below.

<div>It looks like it goes in both cases on the IIS Server root instead of Apache root. How can I solve this?</div>

'Important MS Vista Note! Because an activated Windows Vista User Account Control (UAC) on your system some functions of xampp are possibly restricted. With UAC please avoid to install XAMPP to C:Program Files (x86) (because of not enough write permissions). Or deactivate UAC (with msconfig) after this setup.'

Can someone please tell me what this means? I keep getting this error when installing and think it has something to do with why I can't run phpmyadmin once installed. I am VERY new to this.
