Utc To Zulu

If this is redundant, mea culpa, but it took me some time to figure how to add UTC on an Apple watch. First I put in London, thinking that would work, but they observe daylight saving time, so it's currently one hour off. The zero meridian time zone, also called Greenwich Mean Time or GMT and Universal Time or UTC, is given the letter “Z” or Zulu, taking the army call sign for Z. This is the Zulu time you hear in movies and shows. The Z stands for the military’s time zone, also relates to the zero meridian, and zero hour offset for the time zone.

3pm gmt to mst code. CONVERTING ZULU TIME TO LOCAL TIME

NOAA satellites use Zulu Time or Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) as their time reference. The satellite images that appear on NOAA's Web sites are stamped in Zulu time.

To make the conversion to your local time, see the chart below. Find your local time in the first column. If you are on Eastern Daylight Savings Time (EDT), you would use the second column to find your Zulu Time/UTC. For instance, if it's 11 a.m. Eastern Daylight Savings Time in Washington, D.C., it's 1500 hours in Zulu time/UTC. See legend below.(Back to Hurricanes Page.)
