Acronis True Image 2017 - How to Create Backup and Restore Hard Drive Part 1In this video I create a backup hard drive of windows 7 in virtualbox as an examp. Hi, this is a super simple question that seems to have no straightforward answer. I’ve purchased a new (larger, 1T) hard drive (my old hard drive is about 500 G) All I want to do is copy all my data to my new drive so I don’t have to reinstall my operating system to get all the benefits of a new drive. I have an external hard drive. Do I first acronis true image wd to CLONE my old hard. With Acronis True Image, you have the benefit of disk backup and disk cloning tools, including flexible scheduling options, incremental imaging backup, the ability to choose what files and programs are backed up, and a host of choices as to where to store your. The first step to recovery is performing what’s called a “mount” of the Acronis backup file on the new computer. This operation allows to gain access to the backup’s contents, and thus to perform a restore. Here is how to do it. Make sure Acronis is installed on the computer. With Acronis True Image 2020, you can easily find and restore individual files or folders from a local backup on an external USB drive using the virtual disk feature. In addition, you can easily find and restore files or folders from the secure Acronis Cloud backup.
I upgraded a Crucial MX500 SSD to Crucial BX500 or from 1 tb to 2 tb. As the screen shots shows the partition of the old and new hard drives. (Acronis build 25700) When I expand the hard drive, the new partition is created properly as Windows under computer management properly but windows explorer see the old partition. Any ideas on how to correct this? thanks
I have restored the old hard drive and I am unsure on how to proceed. Any ideas? thanks
David, download a copy of the free MiniTool Partition Wizard software, install this then use it to move your 846MB Recovery partition to the end of the new larger drive, then resize the C: partition to use all of the available unallocated space.

I rebuilt the drive. Then I was able to move a partition of 846 mg and then moved the unallocated drive next to the c drive. When the unallocated space was next to the c drive, I was able to expand c drive. My problem is why Acronis added that 846 mg. partition.
On the home page, you can find the option to download XAMPP for three platforms- Windows, MAC. XAMPP is one of the widely used cross-platform web servers, which helps developers to create and test their programs on a local webserver. It was developed by the Apache Friends, and its native source code can be revised or modified by the audience. On the root of the Xampp folder you have one mysqlstart.bat and one mysqlstop.bat, for start/stop the mysql database included on the Xampp package. You can use they in another bat you should create to start your Java Desktop application. XAMPP is a development environment for PHP not for Java. Apache Tomcat is what you need. Tomcat is like an Apache Web Server (which is included in XAMPP) extended with a Servlet Container that allows to serve Java Servlets. XAMPP is an easy to install Apache distribution containing MariaDB, PHP, and Perl. Just download and start the installer. Xampp for java online.
Thanks for the idea.

Acronis didn't add the 846 MB partition. Microsoft did. The original 450 MB Recovery partition was not large enough when your Windows 10 system was upgraded by Microsoft. They abandoned the 450 MB partition and created a new Recovery Partition at the end of the drive. This happens to everybody during Windows upgrades.
